Great questions, and here is another to consider: Shouldn’t the world experience your talent? I know firsthand how yucky self-promotion can feel, but you’re promoting resources that will likely resonate with, validate, or otherwise help the people they reach. Just reading this brought me relief because now I know someone else grapples with these questions, too! You are a fabulous storyteller, and those stories remind other people that it’s ok to be human, and we’re not alone in trying to navigate this challenging moment in history. Keep sharing, Deanna!

Good, big stuff to tackle here. My mantra as someone that puts a lot of creative stuff in the world has been 'quantity over obsessiveness'. That means a deadline, and also, recognizing the 'shelf date' of my endeavors at my own cadence. If something arrives that's timely based on my reactivity to the times, so to speak (like, does the world need another cover song around Halloween?), I give it a bit of stew before spending the energy executing. The editing now happens far, far earlier in the process. That helps to not second-guess nor give a shit about others' opinions. : makes peace sign hand emoji
